The field scale composting experiments in summer 2016 have started on the 30th of May in Koukkujärvi solid waste management site, Nokia. The summer composting tests are carried out during May - October 2016.

The summer 2016 field tests consist of compost heaps with four different surplus foundry sand types, and a meadow test with two different surplus foundry sand types and different plant species.
The field tests are carried out by Meehanite Technology Ltd and Tampere Regional Solid Waste Management Ltd. The measurements and sampling of the field tests are carried out by AX-LVI Consulting Ltd. The laboratory analyses are carried out by Eurofins Viljavuuspalvelu Oy.
